Herstyler - Hair Straightener Review from Sparta, Georgia
This is a horrible straighter... I have VERY thick hair, and I fell for the her styler sales pitch...
This iron has left my hair sizzled and dry every time I use it.. It gets WAY to hot, you can't even hold it, no matter what I put the temperature dial on...
I am looking at othe irons, I try to keep it low and use it as little as possible in the mean time.. It burned off a chunk of my bangs
Herstyler - Staff Review from Santa Clara, California
Great Mall; Milpitas, CA
If only I had pored over these reviews before, but I digress.
I was wandering through the mall by myself when a male rep. from the HerStyler kiosk handed me a small little packet of hair oil samplers. I mindlessly grabbed one and wanted to continue on my way but the man had just about followed me until I yielded and finally turned around. He tugged on my shirtsleeve (RED FLAG) and pulled me toward the booth where he went through a long demo that I didnt even want but felt forced to do. He asked invasive questions and was basically totally disgusting as he used butchered Tagalog when speaking to me (I'm Filipino.) I felt trapped and kept thanking him and saying I needed to find my Mom and that I was busy but the man had a straitener and told me to keep still. He kept talking about these *** products and how he'd mark the price down and I kept refusing and then he straight up GROWLED at me, bagged up the products I DIDN'T WANT, put them in my lap, and demanded my card. I decided to buy them, whatever. Luckily, I paid in cash and I counted to be sure he gave back the right change, which he did. So now I have overcharged hair products just because I wasn't aggressive enough to say "No."
Be aggressive with these ***. Don't let them make you feel helpless.
THERE IS NO LIFETIME WARRANTY THROUGH MANUFACTURER
I purchased a straightner through a kiosk at the mall when I was out of town. On my receipt, it said a lifetime warranty.
So I spent $28 to mail it back to the company which included the $15 money order that was requested. They called me and said that the straightner only had a 1 year manufacturer warranty. I would have to go back to the place i bought it from to get the lifetime warranty. She said I could send $50 to go with my $15 money order and they could send me another straightner.
I only purchased this straightner because it had a lifetime warranty.
I am not going to spend more money to send it back to the mall where it was purchased. TOTAL SCAM!!
Herstyler Flat Iron Review
Worst pair of flat irons I ever had. When I went back to get my hair flat ironed the lady was very rude and unprofessional! They are not even licensed.
Liars, I'm on my 3rd straightner in 8 months. They r made very cheap and final sale no refund which was not mentioned so they do not back there product.
Worst straightner ever comparable to the cheapest Walmart brand. If I didn't work I would stop and let any potential victim know what a ripe off these were.
U said ur product was better than chi smhhhh! Really. By law u have 7 days to return! All 3 of these have cracked and fell apart.
And I have to pay 30$$$$$ every time this piece of junk does. That's why u r still in business. Ripping people off. If ur product was good as you say it was u would have a money back guarantee.
But u do not even mentioned that all sales r final when purchasing.
Preferred solution: Full refund
Herstyler - Flat Iron Review
The same thing has sadly happened to my friend and i. It happened just yesterday evening.
We where in woodland hills mall just shopping. And my friend decided to stop at a Kiosk that had face cream. And the sales lady had a heavy accent. She showed us several different creams that worked great on our skin.
In the end we both bought $80 face creams. The sales women acted like she was our "friend" and hugged us and said we where beautiful. We knew it was a lot of money, but thought it was a good investment and was told it was good by some friends of ours. Then the sales women walked us over just a few feet away from her kiosk and said "here I will have my good friend do free hairstyles for you both." Then she told us to come back and see her before we left. My friend got a few pieces of her hair straitened by the sales men.
And I so did I. We came with both of our little sisters that had met us back to his kiosk to see us getting our hair done. And that's when he started pushing us to buy the product. He went on and on about how good it was and how it wasn't made in China, it didn't damage your hair, and said it would work on wet hair.
And said it would not make our hair smell burnt. He had both our sisters pick one of there favorite colors. Then he brought both of them into pressuring us to buy it for them. He said he could offer it to us for a "secret deal".
And we could get it for $135 each if we split the payment. And then he kept adding shampoo and "special" conditioner, and a tube of hair cream that he said was free with our purchase. We where both ready to say we had to think about it, but he kept being very pushy saying " I will do it for you, I will do it for you ". And we felt so pressured by our sisters who where begging us to get it.So we where *** and believed his lies and both got it.
That night I tried to use it when my hair was damp and it didn't work. Then after I washed my hair, it smelt bad like chemicals. The sales man claimed it would only take 10 to 15 minutes to do my hair. It ended up taking a lot longer.
Not only that, but he had me and my friend both sign our signatures on the computer for our purchase. We both thought it was simply because it was a lot of money to spend on a debit account, and that we had to sign just like any other store would. But instead we where signing the reseat that said no refunds at the bottom. The sales man never told us why we where signing and NEVER told us that there was no refunds.
He scammed us in to practically signing a contract. I soon learned that this product is cheaply made and was made in China, and can be bought on Amazon from for very low prices. Some people claim it has caught on fire then while using it. And this product was banned in Canada because it was so highly flammable.
And now we are both shorted $135 and stuck with a "New evolution" flat iron that sucks. Spread the word of these shady scammers! They took advangtage of us being young and ignorant to what they where really doing! Don't go to HerStyler kiosks.
They will steal your money. Don't be a victim!

Herstyler - Hair Care Product Review from Pigeon Forge, Tennessee
West Town Mall, Knoxville, TN - Herstyler is a crock. Sold me 2 flat irons (never said anything about no refunds), shampoo, conditioner, serum & mask.
I used shampoo & conditioner and my hair turned green. Went back and manager called me a liar. Said it wasn't the product, it was something I ate. BS!
I had to go get hair professionally colored to get green out.
Do not buy anything there. They are all scammers.

Herstyler - Discount Claim Review
Piece of *** scammers. The guy said he would sell it to me for $100 on that day only and he also told me to not tell anybody that he is giving me a "manager discount." Well a week later i went again, but this time i had no makeup on (i look like *** w/o) and apparently he did not recognize me, so he told me the same ild ***.
I said "I thought you only gave discounts once" he looked at me blankly and tried to convince me that he did not do my hair the last time...
Um how tf am i gonna forget your lying *** in a week? Bastards!
Herstyler - Warranty Review
I was told we could come back anytime for 1 year and present the receipt and have our hair done! This was a total lie!!!
When you go in they tell you they have a schedule, you have to call first (but they don't have a phone) you must call her personal cell!!! The seller told me the product has a lifetime warranty it's been just over 1 year and the straighing iron has totally fallen apart! Oh by the way all the kiosks are gone in the Los Angeles area!!! I want my money back!
It is so sad that these companies are allowed to just steal from consumers.
Do NOT buy any of these products. I should have known better!
Overcharge, misleading product and sales
I bought the Herstyler at the Arcadia Lionnesse Beauty Bar. The saleslady, was a professional lier.
She told me that GHD straighteners are fake, and are not ceramic, that there was a class action lawsuit against the company for producing non-ceramic straighteners. She sold me the product though, for 110$ and later I saw that it's sold for 25$ online, and there was no such GHD lawsuit. The straightener does not heat up as quickly as a GHD. She also told me I could get free training on how to use it in San Francisco where I live and gave me her number to find these locations.
She never replied to my messages and I can't find anywhere for training in San Francisco. Biggest SCAM EVER!
Don't buy these products. They are cheap, and you pay cheap online if you dare.
